How do I set up recycling services?

Tompkins County Recycling & Materials Management

https://recycletompkins.org/

How to Get Started with Tompkins County Recycling & Materials Management:

Curbside recycling pick up is every other week. Tenants must place trash out (not before) 4:00 PM the night before pick-up and remove recyclable bins from curbside by 4:00 PM the day of pick-up.

Do not overload bins so the recycling blows away. If you find you typically have a lot of recycling you may need to get a second bin preferably with a lid. Bins do not need to be the green one provided by the county. You may purchase your own and place the recycling sticker on them.

If there is ANY non accepted items in the bins they will leave the entire bin full. You will then need to wait until the next pick up day, two weeks later. Here is a link to the page which goes over all guideline for curbside recycling
